Digital Archiving Policy

The Journal of Bacha Khan College of Dentistry (JBKCD) is dedicated to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of all published scholarly content. This policy outlines our formal strategy to mitigate the risks of digital obsolescence and data loss, guaranteeing that the research we publish remains a permanent resource for the global dental community.

The primary digital archive for all JBKCD content is the Bacha Khan College of Dentistry Institutional Repository. This ensures that a complete, sovereign copy of all published articles (final published PDFs and associated metadata) is preserved on secure, locally managed servers.

In accordance with our licensing, authors are explicitly encouraged and permitted to self-archive the final published version of their work. Authors may deposit the PDF immediately upon publication in their personal websites, institutional repositories, or non-commercial subject repositories (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu, Google Scholar, etc.)

All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This irrevocable license ensures that the terms of use and redistribution are permanently attached to the work. This facilitates legal archiving in multiple locations and guarantees that future researchers will always have the right to access and build upon the published work.
